The conflict of interest
On an industrial project everyone is paid to deliver their scope. The EPC to build, the integrator to integrate, the vendor to sell the machine. Nobody is paid to ask whether the scope was right. That is the seat we take.

Frequently asked questions
Do you sign drawings or design documents?
No. We are not the design engineer or the works supervisor. We review the work of whoever is, and put the questions their contract does not oblige them to ask.
How long is an engagement?
Typically we sit with the committee from concept design to the close of detail engineering, which tends to be six to twelve months of regular sessions. We also do one-off reviews of a single phase.
Do you have agreements with vendors or integrators?
No, and that is deliberate: it is the only thing that makes our opinion worth anything. We take no commission from anyone on the project, we do not build and we do not integrate.
What about confidentiality?
The first call needs no NDA because we need no documents: project type and phase are enough. If an engagement follows, the NDA is signed before we see a single drawing.
